HP OpenView Network Node Manager Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
Hewlett Packard (HP) · OpenView Network Node Manager
HP OpenView Network Node Manager contains a command injection flaw in its handling of the node parameter in the connectedNodes.ovpl, cdpView.ovpl, freeIPaddrs.ovpl, and ecscmg.ovpl pages, where shell metacharacters are not neutralised. A remote, unauthenticated attacker with network access to the web interface can craft a request containing shell metacharacters to execute arbitrary commands, and no user interaction or non-default configuration is required.
HP OpenView Network Node Manager 6.2 through 7.50 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via shell metacharacters in the (1) node parameter to connectedNodes.ovpl, (2) cdpView.ovpl, (3) freeIPaddrs.ovpl, and (4) ecscmg.ovpl.
