Microsoft Internet Explorer Use-After-Free Vulnerability
Microsoft · Internet Explorer
Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 6 through 8 contain a use-after-free flaw in the browser's object handling, which can be triggered by accessing an object that was either never properly allocated or has already been deleted, as demonstrated with a CDwnBindInfo object. A remote attacker can exploit this by luring a user to a crafted web site, which requires user interaction to visit the page and allows arbitrary code execution without authentication.
Use-after-free vulnerability in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 through 8 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted web site that triggers access to an object that (1) was not properly allocated or (2) is deleted, as demonstrated by a CDwnBindInfo object, and exploited in the wild in December 2012.
