ImageMagick Arbitrary File Deletion Vulnerability

ImageMagick · ImageMagick

Summary

ImageMagick's EPHEMERAL coder, which handles image processing in the ImageMagick product, contains an improper access control flaw that lets it act on files outside its intended scope. An attacker can delete arbitrary files on the affected system by supplying a crafted image, and the attack requires local access with no privileges but needs a user to interact with the crafted file.

Official description · NVD

The EPHEMERAL coder in ImageMagick before 6.9.3-10 and 7.x before 7.0.1-1 allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary files via a crafted image.
