A buffer overflow flaw exists in the Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) subsystem of Cisco IOS, Cisco IOS XE, and Cisco IOS XR Software. An unauthenticated attacker on an adjacent network can exploit it without user interaction to cause a denial of service or execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges on the affected device.
