WebKitGTK Memory Corruption Vulnerability

WebKitGTK · WebKitGTK

Summary

The WebKitGTK web rendering engine contains a memory corruption flaw, classified as an improper restriction of operations within the bounds of a memory buffer, that is triggered when it processes maliciously crafted web content. An attacker who can get a user to load such content over the network, which requires no authentication but does require user interaction, could achieve arbitrary code execution.

Official description · NVD

A vulnerability was found in WebKit. The flaw is triggered when processing maliciously crafted web content that may lead to arbitrary code execution. Improved memory handling addresses the multiple memory corruption issues.
