EyesOfNetwork Use of Hard-Coded Credentials Vulnerability
EyesOfNetwork · EyesOfNetwork
EyesOfNetwork 5.3 ships with a hard-coded default API key (EONAPI_KEY in include/api_functions.php, API version 2.4.2) that is identical across all installations, so the flaw lives in the product's API authentication component. An unauthenticated remote attacker with network access can use that known key to calculate or guess the administrator access token, requiring no privileges, user interaction, or non-default configuration.
An issue was discovered in EyesOfNetwork 5.3. The installation uses the same API key (hardcoded as EONAPI_KEY in include/api_functions.php for API version 2.4.2) by default for all installations, hence allowing an attacker to calculate/guess the admin access token.
