Linux Kernel Privilege Escalation Vulnerability

Linux · Kernel

Summary

A double free flaw in the packet_set_ring() function in net/packet/af_packet.c of the Linux kernel. A local user with low privileges can exploit it through crafted system calls to escalate privileges or cause a denial of service, with no user interaction required, though exploitation is considered high complexity.
