Google Chromium Indexed DB API Use-After-Free Vulnerability

Google · Chromium Indexed DB API

Summary

The Indexed DB API component of Google Chromium contains a use-after-free flaw, a memory-safety bug in which memory is accessed after it has been released. An attacker who has already compromised the renderer process can potentially escape the sandbox by getting the victim to open a crafted HTML page, which requires network access and user interaction and no authentication.

Official description · NVD

Use after free in Indexed DB API in Google Chrome prior to 93.0.4577.82 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to potentially perform a sandbox escape via a crafted HTML page.
