Apple iOS, iPadOS, macOS Use-After-Free Vulnerability
Apple · iOS, iPadOS, and macOS
A use-after-free memory flaw in Apple's iOS, iPadOS, and macOS allows an attacker to run arbitrary code on the affected device. The attacker needs to get a victim to process maliciously crafted web content over the network, and the victim must take an action to trigger it, with no prior authentication required.
A use after free issue was addressed with improved memory management. This issue is fixed in iOS 14.8 and iPadOS 14.8, macOS Big Sur 11.6. Processing maliciously crafted web content may lead to arbitrary code execution. Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited.
