Google Chromium V8 Use-After-Free Vulnerability

Google · Chromium V8

Summary

Google Chromium's V8 JavaScript engine contains a use-after-free flaw, a memory-safety bug in which freed heap memory can still be accessed. An attacker on the network who can get a user to open a crafted HTML page can potentially exploit the resulting heap corruption, with no authentication required and user interaction needed to load the page.

Official description · NVD

Use after free in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 96.0.4664.110 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page.
