SysAid Server Path Traversal Vulnerability

SysAid · SysAid Server

Summary

A path traversal flaw in SysAid On-Premise (SysAid Server) prior to version 23.3.36 lets an attacker write files outside the intended directory and into the Tomcat webroot. Because the attack needs no privileges or user interaction and can be launched remotely over the network, an attacker can reach code execution on the server by planting a file there.

Official description · NVD

In SysAid On-Premise before 23.3.36, a path traversal vulnerability leads to code execution after an attacker writes a file to the Tomcat webroot, as exploited in the wild in November 2023.
