Srimax Output Messenger Directory Traversal Vulnerability

Srimax · Output Messenger

Summary

Srimax Output Messenger, a messaging product, contains a directory traversal flaw in its handling of file paths, affecting versions before 2.0.63. An attacker who can reach the application over the network and hold a low-privilege account can use ../ sequences in request parameters to read sensitive files outside the intended directory, potentially exposing configuration data or arbitrary files, with no user interaction required.

Official description · NVD

Output Messenger before 2.0.63 was vulnerable to a directory traversal attack through improper file path handling. By using ../ sequences in parameters, attackers could access sensitive files outside the intended directory, potentially leading to configuration leakage or arbitrary file access.
