Apple Multiple Products Buffer Overflow Vulnerability

Apple · Multiple Products

Summary

The vulnerability is a buffer overflow affecting multiple Apple products, including the Safari web browser and components across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS. It stems from a memory-handling flaw in the affected software. An attacker can cause memory corruption by getting a user to process maliciously crafted web content, which requires no prior authentication but does require the user to interact with that content, such as by visiting a page.

Official description · NVD

The issue was addressed with improved memory handling. This issue is fixed in Safari 18.6, iOS 18.6 and iPadOS 18.6, macOS Sequoia 15.6, tvOS 18.6, visionOS 2.6, watchOS 11.6. Processing maliciously crafted web content may lead to memory corruption.
