Smartbedded Meteobridge Command Injection Vulnerability

Smartbedded · Meteobridge

Summary

The Meteobridge web interface from Smartbedded, a web application written in CGI shell scripts and C used to manage weather station data collection and administer the system, exposes an endpoint vulnerable to command injection. An unauthenticated attacker with adjacent network access (per the attack vector) can run arbitrary commands with root privileges on affected devices, with no authentication or user interaction required and only low attack complexity.
