Citrix NetScaler ADC and Gateway Buffer Overflow Vulnerability

Citrix · NetScaler ADC and Gateway

Summary

The buffer overflow vulnerability lies in Citrix NetScaler ADC and NetScaler Gateway, specifically in the component that handles memory operations within the bounds of a memory buffer. An unauthenticated remote attacker over the network, requiring no user interaction, can trigger the memory overflow to hijack control flow or cause a denial of service, but only when the appliance is configured as a Gateway (VPN virtual server, ICA Proxy, CVPN, or RDP Proxy) or as an AAA virtual server.

Official description · NVD

Memory overflow vulnerability leading to unintended control flow and Denial of Service in NetScaler ADC and NetScaler Gateway when configured as Gateway (VPN virtual server, ICA Proxy, CVPN, RDP Proxy) OR AAA virtual server
