Plex Media Server Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) Vulnerability
Plex · Media Server
A server-side request forgery flaw in the Media Server component of Plex's Plex Media Server lets the server be abused through its '/player/timeline' endpoint. An attacker who has any X-Plex-Token value, which requires authentication, can supply a full URL in the 'protocol' parameter and cause the server to send a POST request to a destination of the attacker's choosing, over the network and without user interaction.
Plex Media Server before 1.43.3.10861 allows SSRF via '/player/timeline'. An attacker using any X-Plex-Token value can include a full URL in the 'protocol' parameter and force the Plex server to POST to the attacker's chosen destination.
